osei joseph hughes jnrA man believed to be in his middle ages was yesterday arrested by the Bolgatanga Police for having allegedly stolen a metallic waste collection bin belonging to the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly placed at Sherigu, a suburb of Bolgatanga. The Police acted upon a tip-off and arrested Atimolga Hardi Adazana, the suspect who had allegedly transported pieces of the metallic waste bin to Yorogo-Atimolga-Bisi to further use them to manufacture holes. According to the report, the suspect who is a blacksmith, chiseled and dismantled the container and conveyed them to the place for his business. Earlier, an informant had reported the case to the Environmental officer of the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly but action was delayed in trapping the suspect. The name St John Bosco’s Training College, was named after the Patron Saint –John Bosco who was a saint and a friend of the youth during his life time. According to the farmers the factory assured them ready market so in order to meet the requirement of the factory most of the them secured loans from the banks to farm in a large scale they said, they were left stranded with their tomatoes when the factory could not purchase their product which lead many of them to commit suicide due to the large tomato glut.
