Hundreds of people demonstrate against gov’t in Bolga.

Hundreds of New Patriotic Party Member and sympathizers took to the principal streets of Upper East Regional capital bolgatanga this morning to register their displeasure at what they termed government’s lack of commitment to the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) and lackadaisical attitude towards effort at retrieving 51 million Ghana cedis judgment debt paid to a business man Alfred Agbesi Wayome
The demonstration which was organize by the young patriot a youth wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party took place in the upper east regional capital Bolgatanga and ended at the regional coordinating council where they presented a written petition to the upper east regional minister. This follows the first one last Tuesday in the northern regional capital Tamale, which saw hundreds of sympathizers on the streets of Tamale.
The organizer,Titus Glover speaking to Ultimate Radio during the demonstration said the demonstration was well attended by party supporters and a number of people who have defected from the NDC to the Npp. He said the people of the region are disappointed due to government’s inability to complete the via water project, pwalugu Hydro Project and unavailability of snake bite vaccines and CSM vaccines.
Meanwhile information trickling in from the region indicates that, students of the Bolgatanga polytechnic who are disappointed with government’s handling of the issues of their striking lectures and the the issue of unpaid feeding grants for senior high schools in the north by the Government gave major boost to the demonstration with a number of SHS students in attendance.
