Accra Police orders Tema police to hand over policeman alleged to have shot and killed a civilian

The
Greater Accra Police command has ordered the Tema police to hand over one of
their own who is alleged to have shot and killed a 49 year old Tanka Driver. The
deceased Samuel Asabour whilst driving to Tema, a police
patrol team gave him a chase, suspecting him of driving a snatched car. In the
chase, the KIA Pride skidded off the road and landed in a ditch about hundred
meters from the Michel Camp on the Ashaiman-Tema road.
According an eye witness the police opened fire and shot
the defenseless KIA driver who staggered out of his mangled vehicle and knelt
down to beg the gun-wielding policeman to spare his life. The family accused
the police of deliberate killing Mr. Asabour and demanded the police man
involve to be brought to book. The morning According to the brother of the
deceased Daniel Abakisi, the police command have granted their request and ordered
the Tema police to hand over the police man involve.
